What is EDTA Chelation Therapy?
EDTA Chelation Therapy is an intravenous therapy to treat and prevent a variety of ailments that effect us as we age, such as,
arteriosclerosis, atherosclerosis, angina pectoris, cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, diabetic gangrene, neuropathy,
peripheral vascular disease, scleroderma, arthritis, hypoglycemia, macular degeneration and many other age-related ailments.
Chelation therapy improves metabolic function and increases blood flow, opening blocked arteries throughout the body.
Complete and comprehensive medical histories, along with blood tests and urine analysis are taken before chelation therapy
can begin. The therapist begins with a complete assessment of the patient's health. The lungs, kidneys and liver are given
particular attention. In order to eliminate the waste products from chelation, the kidneys and liver must be functioning properly.
Persons suffering from severe kidney and liver disorders need specialized care during their therapy.
Chelation therapy is primarily aimed at increasing blood flow, which in turn is known to be a determining factor in how healthy you
are or how quickly you will become a candidate for one or more of the many degenerative diseases.
(EDTA), ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid, an amino acid, and is administered intravenously over a period of approximately three
hours. During this time, the patient is fully awake and may rest comfortably in a chair while reading or chatting with a fellow patient.
A complete program of chelation therapy involves lifestyle changes as well as dietary changes, away from highly refined and
processed foods. The use of nonprescription nutritional supplements is emphasized more than expensive drugs.
The simple process of EDTA chelation therapy is surprisingly effective at treating a wide range of health conditions.
